Who
can apply ?

Candidates should have a Masters degree in Physics/Electronics or B.Tech. or equivalent degree/AMIE/AMIETE in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Electrical Engineering from any recognized University or Institution and valid GATE score
can apply for
the M. Tech programme.
Minimum percentage
of marks / CGPA obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination shall be
prescribed by the Syndicate of the University (Usually with a First Class (60%)
or equilant CGPA/GPA)
Candidates
should have a valid GATE score in physics, electronics or electrical
engineering. Admission to the course would be based on a merit list prepared on the basis of GATE percentile.
However in case, GATE qualified candidates are not available, the seats may be offered to
non GATE candidates but they will not be entitled to scholarship. Non-GATE candidates
will be selected through a written admission test conducted by ISP.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities shall be eligible for concession up to 10%
in the minimum eligible marks and two seats are reserved for them. One seat is
reserved for physically handicapped student.
Two seats
are reserved for sponsored candidates. They must be sponsored by Industry/ Teaching / Research organisations of
Central/ State Government.
Candidates who have written final year examination of masters degree and awaiting results are also eligible to apply which is only provisional and they should fulfill the criteria as mentioned in the preceding paragraph in case of selection and at the time of joining
the ISP.
