How to apply ?
Candidates who qualified the eligibility criteria can apply for the Ph. D
position in ISP. Candidates are advised to contact the ISP office before applying for a
position to make sure that a position is available.
NET qualified candidates: If the candidates qualified the National Eligibility
Test (NET) conducted jointly by University Grants Commission (UGC) and Council of
Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), they can join the course at any
time of the academic year, provided a position is available. They have to submit
an application which is available from the ISP office. Please see also the UGC

Non NET
candidates: Candidates don't have a valid NET score have to appear for an
entrance test and an interview conducted at ISP, if a position is available.
They can apply for the test along with the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted
by the University. Application for the CAT will be called for in the month of
February every year, notification appearing in almost all the leading national
dailies and at University
website.
