Photonics News
Photonics News is an
annual newsletter from International School of Photonics released on Annual Photonics Workshop, which is held on 27-28 February every year. Prof. V.P.N. Nampoori is the
Chief-Editor of the newsletter. The inaugural edition of the newsletter was released on 1999, four years since the existence of the School and has been exhibiting the activities of the school ever since.
The newsletter features cutting-edge technologies and recent path-breaking stories in the field of Photonics, Optics, Physics and related areas. Photonics News highlights the research and development activities from ISP and showcases the recent publications from the School.
It also proudly presents the work of alumni from various universities. The newsletter also exhibits various outreach programmes (Optics Fair, Optics to School), seminars and other Student Chapter activities.
The newsletter is available free of charge by participating in the Annual Photonics Workshop or for a hard copy write to the Chief Editor. A soft copy (pdf version) is available online three months from its release.

Photonics News 2013
This year PN brings out the stories of the proposed construction of world's most powerful laser that could tear apart the very fabric of space. It also illustrates the paradox of Schrodinger's cat and trapping of Beryllium ion experiment. It also opens a window to our research labs.
